How did you first discover gourd art?
I discover gourds browsing the internet. I don't remember what I was searching but when I saw all the possibilities that gourd can give, I told myself that this is what I was searching for. I wanted to sell my paintings. Now I sell gourds.
When did you begin making your own gourd creations & why?
My first creation was a bowl made with shoe shine. I was amazed at what can be such a common medium.
What types of things do you make with gourds?
What influences or inspires your art?
I am now focusing on making dolls. I want to do them for a long time. Now I consider I am ready for it.
Tell a little about yourself:
I know now I was an artist all my life. My parent didn't consider artist to be a way of putting bread an butter on the table. So I listened and did all kind of jobs. Now I do what I was meant to do.
